An idiot biker has been pictured 'planking' on a 70mph dual-carriageway.

The motorcyclist was seen to lie flat on his bike as he rode along the A299 Thanet Way at Herne Bay.

The dangerous stunt was captured on camera by someone travelling behind.

It is not known who took the picture or how long the biker stayed in the Superman-style pose.

His actions have been condemned by road safety supremo Kevin Clinton from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

He said: “This is extremely dangerous and stupid, and puts other road users at risk, not just the individual doing it. We hope the police are able to identify this person and prosecute him.”

Planking is a fad which has emerged in recent years and involves people lying face down in unusual places.

Last week video footage emerged of a quad biker performing a wheelie on the A2.
