Motorist taken to hospital following two car crash on A299 Thanet Way on Broomfield slip road

A motorist has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A299 Thanet Way this afternoon.

The accident happened at 2.25pm today on the Broomfield slip road, where a Land Rover Discovery is believed to have been in a collision with a convertible.

Kent Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said a paramedic in a passing ambulance car had found the crash, and an ambulance was called to the scene.

He said more details about the motorist and his or her injuries were not yet known, but confirmed the patient had been taken to the QEQM hospital.
