coastguards called after Kayak accident in Hearne Bay

Two people have been saved by lifeguards in Herne Bay after falling out of their kayaks.

The area's coastguard rescue team were also called to the waters by the pier just after 1pm yesterday afternoon.

The pair managed to get to safety after being given a rescue board and were treated by paramedics at the scene.
