A girl has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries after she was hit by a car in Herne Bay.
The 14-year-old was struck in Fleetwood Avenue, near the junction with Cross Street, at about 6.40pm.
It is thought she was hit by a silver VW estate car, which remained at the scene.
Two ambulances and four patrol cars were called to the incident.
An air ambulance was also called but the girl was taken to a local hospital by road.
Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
