Teenager suffered facal injuries following alleged fairground assault in Hythe

A teenager suffered facial injuries in an alleged assault at a fairground.

The police are appealing for witnesses after the incident in Cinque Ports Avenue, Hythe, between 7pm and 7.20pm on Saturday.

The road is close to Hythe Green where the fair is thought to have been set up.

The victim was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Two girls, 14 and 15, from Folkestone were arrested in connection with the incident on Sunday and now two boys, 11 and 12 have also been arrested.

All four have been released pending further inquiries.

Investigating officer Det Cons James Leggett said: "We believe there were a number of people at the scene who may have witnessed the incident and we ask them to come forward as they could have important information that could help with our investigation."
