Hythe: BP petrol station car fire being treated as suspicious

A car was engulfed in flames in a suspicious fire at a BP petrol station last night.

Dramatic photos show a black saloon ablaze in the forecourt of the garage in Seabrook, Hythe.

Fire crews arrived at the seafront petrol station just after midnight to extinguish the flames.

The cause of the fire is thought to be suspicious and officers are investigating.

They have released CCTV shots of two men they want to speak to.

It is believed they were passengers in the car before it pulled into the forecourt.

Then, once the fire started, they were seen running towards the beach in the direction of Folkestone.

One man is described as 6ft tall with short brown hair and slight stubble.

At the time he was wearing a purple hooded coat with a grey hooded jacket underneath, light blue jeans and dark shoes.

The second man is also described as 6ft tall and was wearing a purple hooded coat, light coloured canvas shoes and dark trousers.

He is reported to be of medium build.
