Folkestone firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue Service called to burning Ford Fiesta in North Road, Hythe

Firefighters were called to a burning Ford Fiesta in Hythe last night.

They attended the scene in North Road in the town following reports that the hatchback was ablaze at 6.45pm.

A Folkestone fire station spokesman said: "It was completely burned out and we're not too sure what the cause was.

"It's a suspected electrical fault."

He added the cause was not suspicious and that it was unlikely to be investigated further.
