Hythe artist Andy Tuohy produces stamps for Royal Mail

Hythe illustrator Andy Tuohy has been commissioned to produce a set of stamps for the Royal Mail.

The new set - inspired by vintage travel posters - will be released today and includes images of Dover, Sydney, New York, Ha long Bay in Vietnam, Hong Kong and Venice.

The set celebrate's sea travel, with a variety of views seen by travellers approaching famous destinations across the world.

The Royal Mail spotted Mr Tuohy's location-based work, which has included images of famous Kent landmarks including the Turner Contemporary.

The set of stamps is not Mr Tuohy's first high-profile commission.

The artist, who works from his studio in Hythe, has also produced work for institutions, publishers, festivals and museums from around the world including Tate Enterprises, and First Great Western.
