Fire crews tackle motorhome blaze in Dymchurch Road, Hythe

Firefighters were called after a motorhome burst into flames in Hythe.

Crews arrived to find the vehicle "well alight" on Dymchurch Road at 8pm last night.

Two fire engines were sent to the blaze and the teams wore breathing apparatus to fight the flames.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is not yet known.

Firefighters were at the scene for 45 minutes, and police were also there.

A spokesman for police said: "Officers on patrol in Hythe on Monday came across a motorhome alight in Dymchurch Road at about 8pm.

"They alerted Kent Fire and Rescue Service who attended to extinguish the fire.

The fire is not thought to be suspicious."
