Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance crews dealing with crash on A20 near Hythe this morning

Police and paramedics are dealing with a crash on a busy road near Hythe early this morning.

Several police cars and ambulances were called the scene at the A20 near the Hythe and Saltwood turning on to Sandling Road at 7.55am.

It is believed nobody has been seriously injured in the crash.

Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said: "Injuries were to a woman in her 50s with chest pains and a man with an arm injury.

"We sent one car and two ambulances and both patients were taken to William Harvey Hospital."

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 7.55am to a report of a collision involving two cars on the A20, near the junction for Sandling Road.

"No serious injuries have been reported and recovery of the vehicles is being arranged."
