Police helicopter searches over Range Road in Hythe for missing man

A police helicopter was used to track down a missing man after a three-hour search.

It had been scrambled after officers were called at 11.40am on Sunday (Oct 5) following reports of concern for a man in Hythe.

A Kent Police spokesman said: " Officers, together with the police helicopter, carried out a search in the area around Range Road.

"The man was located safe and well."

South East Coast Ambulance Service was also called out and it is thought that the man was found at 2.30pm.
