Power cut in Hythe

A total of 121 homes and businesses in a town are to be without power for much of today.

Residents reported that some shops and homes in Hythe had no electricity this morning and reported it to the UK Power Networks team at about 11.45am.

The power cut has been logged and engineers are said to be "working hard to fix it as quickly as possible."

It is thought the bang was caused by something hitting an overhead cable.
