Woman cut free from car after crash with lorry on M20, near junction 11

A woman has been cut free from her car after a crash involving a lorry on the M20.

The police were called to the motorway, just off junction 11, at around 9.30am today.

Paramedics were already in attendance and the car hit a lamppost which has been damaged, but is not thought to be obstructing the London-bound carriageway.

A police spokesman said: "A woman has been cut out of the car and is being treated by ambulance staff."

Firefighters were also called and were able to stabilise the vehicle using hydraulic rescue equipment and removing the roof.

A statement from Kent Fire and Rescue said: "Fire crews left the scene just before 10.30am.

"If you're out on the roads today, please drive to suit the road conditions and take extra care."
