A town centre road was closed after a middle-aged woman was hit by a car.
She was knocked down on the Scanlons Bridge Road in Hythe just before 1.40pm and suffered hip and neck injuries.
Paramedics and police were on the scene on the bridge over the Royal Military Canal, near the station, at the junction with Green Lane, Military Road and London Road.
One ambulance crew attended the scene and the injured woman was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
Drivers had been warned to expect delays around the area but the road cleared just after 2.30pm.
