Dan Stubbs has arrived back at Hythe Town with renewed focus after joining the club for a second time.

The 25-year-old midfielder is manager Tim Dixon’s second summer signing having featured most recently for Cray Wanderers in Ryman League Division 1 North.

Stubbs played under Scott Porter at the back-end of 2013/14, scoring two goals and setting up seven in a 15-game spell with the Cannons.

Dixon said: "He’s a good player and I’ve watched him for the last couple of years.

"His job last year took him away from football but his focus is back this year and he can’t wait to get going.

"He did well at Margate and I saw him play in a trial match for Dover against Dagenham. He ended up at Maidstone and then was at Cray Wanderers last year.

"It didn’t work out for a few players there and I had a good chat with him.

"I know what he brings, what sort of player he is and I’m pleased to get him."
