AdEPT boosts profits and revenues after contract wins and acquisitions

A business-to-business telecoms firm increased pre-tax profits by 28.7% to £2.8 million after a year of acquisitions and contract wins.

AdEPT Telecom, which supplies broadband and phone services to 38 councils in the UK, boosted revenues by 30.8% to £28.9 million according to its latest annual results.

The Tunbridge Wells-based company grew its underlying earnings before interest, taxes and other charges (EBITDA) for the 13th straight year, up 34% to £6.2 million.

The boost was helped by acquisition of communications provider Centrix Limited in May last year. It also bought Comms Group UK two months ago.

The strong results means shareholders will receive a 36.5% increase in their dividends to 6.5p a share.

Chairman Roger Wilson said: “AdEPT has delivered its 13th consecutive year of increased underlying EBITDA through a combination of strategic acquisition and organic contract wins and the group continues to deliver consistently high levels of free cash flow generation.”
