You could lend a hand with TV’s DIY SOS in Longfield

Chippies, plumbers and plasterers could help to raise the community spirit when the BBC hit series DIY SOS: The Big Build comes to Longfield later this month.

The team, headed by presenter Nick Knowles, wants to hear from tradesmen and women in the area who can dedicate their time and skills to the show’s latest project.

Appeals have gone out via Facebook and Twitter, with the added incentive of “superb catering, lots of fun and the chance to turn a family’s life around”.

The response so far is reported to be good but the programme makers are still keen to hear from willing traders.

The exact location of the project has not yet been revealed but filming will take place from Tuesday, October 14, to Thursday, October 23.
