Aldi's £50 million Neats Court hub to be decided upon in March

A decision on Aldi’s planned £50 million regional distribution centre on Sheppey is due to be made in March.

Last week we reported that the budget supermarket chain had submitted its proposals for a new HQ at Neats Court, Queenborough, which could provide around 400 jobs.

A spokesman for Swale council this week confirmed that the application, which includes a 14-acre warehouse, is one of the biggest it has ever received from a single occupier.

A spokesman for German retailer Aldi said: “We are pleased to be moving on to the next stage in the process. This is an important site for Aldi’s business that we have a long-standing interest in.

“It will also provide significant economic benefits for the area and employment opportunities for local people.”
