Maidstone businessmen pitch Sync-box idea to Deborah Meaden on BBC's Dragons' Den

Two Maidstone businessmen successfully pitched an idea to Dragons’ Den that will appeal to fans of flat-screen TVs.

Steve Noyes and Duncan Summers, of technology company Eyestones, secured an offer of £55,000 from tough investor Deborah Meaden when they appeared on the BBC show on Sunday.

Their Sync-box socket allows TVs to be fitted flush against a wall.

It is already used in hotels and offices, but the cash will help the pair, whose firm is at the Enterprise Foundation centre in Mote Road, market it to a wider audience.

The Enterprise Foundation’s general manager Roy Laming said: “The simplicity of the device and its huge market potential clearly caught Deborah’s attention right from the start.

"The investment she has offered will enable the further development of business channels across international markets."

Staff from Enterprise Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation supporting start-ups, helped the team prepare for their day in front of the cameras.
