Produced in Kent teams up with Rainham-based Actionpoint Packaging to improve members' exports

An agency which promotes food and drink made in the county has teamed up with a packaging company to help firms sell their goods more successfully.

Produced in Kent has made Rainham-based Actionpoint Packaging an associate member to take advantage of its three decades of industry expertise.

Its 300 food and drink producers will get free reviews of their packaging and processes to improve delivery options, brand image and to lessen damage.

Actionpoint Packaging director Luke Pollard said: “We are extremely excited to join Produced in Kent.

“This new relationship means we will be able to help it advise members on the best packaging solutions.

“We have extensive experience in different markets including food and produce packaging.

“We can also provide safer packaging solutions to protect delicate goods being exported abroad. This means a reduction in waste leading to improved margins for Kent businesses.

“We are therefore looking forward to helping Kent companies punch above their weight.”

Jill Sargent at Produced in Kent said: “Working with Actionpoint is an excellent benefit to our members.

“Packaging and transport are some of the key issues that we are asked about.

“Therefore Actionpoint will provide a service which will help companies realise better results and find safer ways of transporting goods to market, cutting down on waste and saving money.”
