Holiday Extras acquires airport and car park booking systems business Chauntry

HolidayExtras.com, the airport parking and hotels company, has taken over a booking systems business.

The Hythe-based firm has acquired Chauntry, which provides parking booking tools used at more than 80 airports worldwide.

It is capable of processing tens of thousands of reservations every day and millions in revenue.

It will support the eight million passengers served by Holiday Extras each year.

The company, which has an annual turnover of £328 million, aims to offer end-to-end booking technology and operating system support for airports and car park operators across the globe. Holiday Extras chief executive Matthew Pack said: “This is a friendly acquisition of a business that Holiday Extras has enjoyed a long term partnership with.

“We will be investing in the team and software to develop Chauntry’s market leading position.

“We see the acquisition as an investment in our future; a clear indication of our intention to innovate as we build upon the already excellent technology platforms in existence within our business.

“This will serve to increase our customers’ overall experience as we deliver the holiday additions that makes travel easier for everyone. ”
