The first Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA) ceremony is a sell-out -with almost 500 tickets being snatched up by Kent’s business community.

The glittering celebration event, which is being held at Leeds Castle on July 2, attracted almost 200 entries, with 27 companies and individuals making it to the finals.

Kevin Lynes from Kent County Council said:

"KEiBA is set to become the key business event of the year in Kent. It is clear from the large number of ticket sales that people want to celebrate with staff even during these difficult economic times and that businesses are still thriving. It also provides businesses an opportunity to network and do even more business".

Geraldine Allinson, Chairman of KM Group, said:

"KEiBA is a fantastic opportunity to reward businesses for their exceptional performances. It shows clearly that Kent is a great county to establish and grow a business in. Hopefully KEiBA will help attract businesses to Kent which will further enhance our vibrant economy."

Winners will receive a trophy and it’s hoped the awards will also boost staff morale and help attract new staff. Winning an award will also help businesses raise their profile in Kent.

KEiBA is staged and produced by Kent County Council and the KM Group to recognise and reward excellence in Kent businesses. The 11 categories recognise companies of all sizes as well as individual awards.
