Kreston Reeves to merge with Munslows in London creating £33 million turnover business

Accountancy firm Kreston Reeves is to merge with a London practice creating a company with a turnover of more than £33 million.

The Canterbury-based business will join forces with Munslows from June 1, a year to the day after it completed a takeover of South East rival Spofforths.

The move was motivated by Munslows’ experience with AIM and listed companies.

Its partners and staff will move into the London office of Kreston Reeves in Moorgate and trade as Kreston Reeves, adding more than 80 staff.

The combined businesses will have 52 partners and more than 450 staff across 10 offices, including Chatham and Sandwich.

The management board will remain unchanged.

Senior partner Andrew Griggs said: “Their business, charity and private clients will benefit from the wide and deeper range of services and expertise we are able to provide including tax advisory, financial services, corporate finance, VAT and forensics.

“We are also confident that our longstanding membership of worldwide accounting network, Kreston International, will provide valuable new opportunities for Munslows clients.”

Head of Kreston Reeves London office Michael Cook, said: “This merger signals our commitment to growth in London.”

Munslows key partners Kaushik Ondhia and Nathan Steinberg said: “We’ve known Kreston Reeves for a number of years – they are a firm with a very similar ethos to our own so we believe the merger is a natural fit.”
