Gallagher Group hires senior executives to join team

The Gallagher Group has appointed Steve Hollingshead as a non-executive director to support the next phase of development at the family-owned civil engineering, building, quarrying and property business.

The former chief executive of J Murphy & Sons, will join existing non-executive, Paul Collins, to assist chairman Pat Gallagher, CEO Nick Yandle and the management team in developing its future strategy.

In addition, Catherine Rossiter will join the group from Laing O’Rourke in June as group finance director.

Long-term group finance director Tom Corkery will work alongside her during a planned transition period over a number of months to successfully conclude the current financial year end - the end of September.

Mr Corkery will then step away from his day to day role at the end of 2018 but will remain active as an independent advisor to the Gallagher family on a range of matters.

Gallagher's head office is in Aylesford.

Gallagher's latest financial results, to the end of September 2017, showed turnover steady at around £100 million and with another positive step up in profitability.
