The largest independent-used BMW dealership in the UK has sold a record number of cars for two straight months.
Big Motoring World, based in Addington, near West Malling, shifted 827 cars in June, its highest figure in more than 20 years of trading.
The figure beat sales of 747 in May, itself a record month.
The most expensive vehicle sold was a 14 plate BMW X6 XDrive40D Coupe in white worth £40,000.
The average sale price in June was £12,600. One customer travelled from Aberdeen.
More than 2,000 cars are stocked at its head office, where it also sells Mercedes Benz vehicles. The firm also has dealerships in Canterbury and Snodland.
Chief executive Peter Waddell said: “It’s fantastic that customers have travelled from far and wide, even 582 miles from Aberdeen, to take advantage of the specialist service we offer.
“Our friendly, knowledgeable and customer focussed sales staff have a growing reputation in the used car business.
“This, combined with large amount of high quality cars we have in stock, has made Big Motoring World a real destination for those looking to purchase a new high quality vehicle.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our staff for all their hard work which has resulted in two record months in a row – long may it continue!”
Salesman Zaman Malik, who sold 70 vehicles during the record June, said: “I’m happy to serve customers and help them on their journey towards choosing a new vehicle. “I try and set goals for my sales targets and I was pleased to be able to help so many people coming through the showroom doors.”
