Roulette wheel maker Bill Cammegh of Cammegh Ltd in Bethersden, Ashford, honoured at International Gaming Awards

The founder of a roulette wheel maker, which has been in business for more than 25 years, has been given one of the highest honours in the gaming industry by peers.

Bill Cammegh, chairman and founder of Cammegh Ltd, won the Outstanding Contribution Award at this year’s International Gaming Awards.

The 78-year-old’s company, founded in 1989, exports 90% of the roulette wheels and equipment it makes at its base in Bethersden, near Ashford, where it employs 22 people.

It supplies clients in Las Vegas and Monte Carlo and has a turnover of more than £5 million a year.

Mr Cammegh, who picked up his award at the Savoy in London last week, maintains a presence at the factory assisting in research and development alongside his sons Richard and Andrew.

Managing director Richard said: “It’s an incredible achievement for my father and for Cammegh.
