Clarkson Wright & Jakes in Orpington wins at LawNet awards

A solicitors has won an award for its fundraising and skills-sharing in the community.

Clarkson Wright & Jakes picked up a prize at the LawNet awards last month at Heythrop Park in the Cotswolds.

Its award for Best Community Contribution was in recognition of its work running events like mini-rigby for six-year-olds and fundraising for the St Christopher’s Hospice in Orpington.

It has also made the area more dementia friendly with in-house training and courses for staff in other businesses.

Senior partner Andrew Wright said: “It’s a real boost for everyone at CWJ to receive national recognition in this way, especially after all of the consistent hard work put in by the team to become involved in our community at many levels – from supporting character-building mini rugby festivals to creating dementia-friendly workplaces.”
