Multi-coloured moustache worn by Jason Lewis of DHA Planning impresses client Gallagher Group after being dyed in their corporate colours

Sucking up to a client has always been a good way to win business but a transport consultancy boss found a way to brush past the competition and raise money for charity.

In a bid to boost his money raising for Movember, DHA Transport director Jason Lewis went the extra mile by dying his moustache in the gold, white and green corporate colours of construction firm Gallagher Group.

The 42-year-old from Willesborough Lees, Ashford, kept his multicoloured handlebar for the last week of his fundraising, showing off the results at a dinner hosted by the Maidstone-based construction firm.

He and his colleagues raised more than £1,200 to support testicular and prostate cancer research.

Mr Lewis said: “The DHA office has been proudly sporting tashes for Movember for years but decided to up the ante for 2014 with a hotly contested best mo competition.

“The tash was a big talking point at meetings, but after dying it I saw a big increase in charity donations. I think I may leave others to try to better my effort next year.”
