BBC journalist Steph McGovern to be speaker at Kent Vision Live business show

BBC broadcaster Steph McGovern will be the opening speaker at the largest business show in the county.

The presenter on BBC1’s flagship Breakfast programme will give an overview of the country’s business landscape at the Kent Vision Live exhibition at the Kent Event Centre in Detling.

For more than a decade she has reported on finance and current affairs from around the world and also hosted CBBC’s Pocket Money Pitch, her own children’s TV show looking for the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Rich Tribe, joint-managing director of Revolution Events, which runs Kent Vision Live, said: “We are delighted that this year’s event will be opened by yet another heavyweight from the media world.

“With Brexit looming large and a minority government in place, economic conditions have rarely been so unpredictable as they are right now – so the ‘big picture’ perspective that Steph can offer will be a huge benefit to companies preparing to weather an inevitable period of volatility in the business world.”

Kent Vision Live is the largest gathering of the Kent business community, bringing together more than 3,000 attendees and 300 exhibitors every year.

It is estimated to generate more than £20m of business annually.

It takes place on Wednesday, May 16. Details at kentvision-live.co.uk
