MTS Cleansing Services based in Strood buys warehouse in Henwood Industrial Estate in Ashford for £1.2m as business grows

A waste management company has bought a warehouse for £1.2m.

Family-owned MTS Cleansing Services has decided to move to larger premises as their business grows and chose the site in Wyvern Way on the Henwood Industrial Estate in Ashford because of its easy access to the M20 and town centre.

The 27,000sqft unit has a steel portal frame and two steel roller shutter doors opening onto to a secure concrete yard and loading area.

The unit is on a 1.28 acres site and has more than 40 car parking spaces.

The property has planning for both B1 light industrial and B8 warehouse uses.

While the company’s head office will remain in Strood on the Medway City Estate, the company now has three sites in Kent, including another depot at Pluckley.

Warehouse agent Core Commerical, based in Paddock Wood, acted on the deal.

Managing director David Marriott said the sale was “a clear indication of the property market improving” adding it shows that post-recession, businesses are “recovering back to normality”.
