Denise Barnes

From the cat-walk to estate agency to her lifelong passion

Denise has travelled the world selling lipsticks in a Denver store,

cat-walk modelling in Atlanta, assistant to the UN Narcotics Director in Geneva, chauffeuring a Swiss Gnome in Zurich, assistant to an internationally-famous film producer in London, and cooking in a sanatorium in Germany.

Denise set up her own chain of eight estate agents offices in the South East whilst studying for a Degree with the Open University to pursue her life-long passion for writing. She sold her business in 2005 to the wrong buyers and her book Seller Beware: How Not To Sell Your Business was the result. Denise's story will be lively and includes preparing for your exit strategy and the pitfalls of selling a business.

Julianne Ponan

Failure comes from not getting up

With a degree in Business Management and Finance, Julianne started her journey working abroad in Beijing for an investment banking firm. Three years ago at the age of 22, Julianne became owner and CEO of Creative Nature, a superfood brand. Within an 18 month period she had put the company back into profit, raising the brands profile, launching new product lines all with only 2 members of staff.

In the last year Julianne has taken Creative Nature from strength to strength launching the brand into high end retailers, Ocado and supermarket giant Tesco.

She recently won the NatWest National Every Woman Artemis Award adding to her collection including Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Julianne also works for Virgin, mentoring young entrepreneurs.

'Failure' she says, 'doesn't come from falling down. Failure comes from not getting up'!

Price £29.50 + VAT includes two course luncheon with coffee on arrival.
