It's not easy being cool with a woolly coat!

But, as these animals found, you can't lick a nice iced lolly or a dip in the water when the thermometer hits 29C.

Keepers at Howletts and Port Lympne wild animal parks kept their cool when it came to looking after the primates and big cats at the weekend.

Tigers enjoyed water baths whilst the lemurs were treated to ice lollies.

Adrian Harland, animal director, said: "This weather is fantastic and challenges our staff to provide stimulation that encourages the animals to be active but to stay cool at the same time."
