Bourne and Kemp jewellers, Longfield, was raided

Two 15-year-old boys have appeared at a youth court in Dartford today on charges of armed robbery.

The pair were arrested shortly after a jewellers was robbed in Longfield last week.

They were both accused of robbery of an unknown amount of jewellery and with possession of a firearm.

Magistrates remanded them on bail for four weeks with the intention that they should be sent to Maidstone Crown Court because of the seriousness of the allegations.

The youths, from Camden and Islington in London but who cannot be named, spoke only to confirm their names and that they are currently living in Milton Keynes.

The charges come after a raid on Bourne and Kemp Jewellers, in Station Road, Longfield, last Tuesday.
