Chatham man Simon Botley awaits sentence for attacking uncle with baseball bat

Simon Botley appeared at Maidstone Crown Court

A Chatham man has admitted attacking his uncle with a baseball bat.

Simon Botley, 23, of Yarrow Road, Chatham, pleaded guilty to wounding Alec Botley with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today.

Mr Botley suffered facial fractures during the attack, on November 6 last year.

Sentencing of Botley, who is currently under the care of a hospital, was adjourned until March 4 to enable the preparation of medical reports.
