Dreaming of a bright Christmas as festive families across Kent decorate homes with thousands of lights

Festive families across Kent have been bringing Christmas cheer to their streets - by stringing up thousands of lights.

Our photographers have been out across the county to search for some of the best displays.

Among the most brilliantly-lit neighbourhoods is in Windsor Road, Thanington, where four homes in a row have been adorned with decorations.

The family of late great-grandad Roy Baker, who was nicknamed Mr Christmas, have decorated their home with pride and poignancy.

When Roy died two years ago, it was feared the plug would be pulled on his magnificent festive light extravaganza in Wigmore.

But his family vowed the annual show outside his home in Leafy Glade should go on - and his sons Phill and Richard they have continued the dazzling display in his honour.
