Clubber injured during disturbance at Pitcher and Piano nightclub in Tunbridge Wells

A man was taken to hospital with head injuries and four others were arrested after a disturbance at a night club.

Police officers were called to the Pitcher and Piano club in Church Road, Tunbridge Wells, early this morning.

Two men were arrestedjust after midnight – a 26-year-old man from Paddock Wood on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and a 25-year-old man from Tonbridge on suspicion of violent disorder.

They are currently in custody along with a 25-year-old man from West Malling who was arrested late this morning on suspicion of assault.

Another man arrested just after midnight on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly has been issued with a penalty notice and a fine of £80 and released from custody.

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital with head injuries following the disturbance but has been discharged this morning. The police officer assaulted received a minor injury but did not need to go to hospital.
