A major accident has taken place today affecting traffic on the M2.

Kent Police officers are currently at the scene in Graveney Road, Faversham.

The incident was reported at 2.48pm involving a van and a motorbike.

Officers have closed Graveney Road at the junction with Love Lane, Head Hill at the junction with Whitstable Road and Whitstable Road at the junction with Homestall Lane.

Drivers will be unable to leave the A299 at junction 7 of the M2 at Brenley Corner so are advised to use alternative routes.
