Derren Brown has mind set on Medway

Master of mind control Derren Brown will perform for five consecutive nights at The Central Theatre, Chatham next spring.

The Channel 4 star has selected the venue to preview his 2009/10 theatre show before taking it on a major UK tour, which means Medway audiences will be the first to experience his latest blend of psychology, illusion and showmanship.

His television specials have provoked much debate, consolidating his reputation as a performer prepared to constantly challenge and break boundaries.

Derren, who was awarded the coveted Olivier Award for Best Entertainment, can seemingly predict and control human behaviour.

He doesn’t claim to be a mind-reader, instead he describes his craft as a mixture of magic, suggestion, psychology and misdirection.

The Chatham shows will be the only Kent dates Derren will perform.

Preview shows take place from Friday, April 17 to Tuesday, April 21 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £23 and £20, and go on sale on Wednesday at 10am. Reservations and bookings cannot be made before this date.

Please note the performances are not suitable for children under 12.
