Driver hurt as car overturns on M20 near Ashford

A driver had a lucky escape when their car overturned on the M20 near Ashford this morning.

Emergency services were called to the motorway after the Skoda Fabia flipped on the coastbound carriageway between junctions 10 and 11 at about 6.15am.

The car came to a rest on the hard shoulder close to the turn off for the Channel Tunnel.

A rolling road block was put in place by police until 6.45am so debris could be cleared.

A fire engine and ambulance were also called to the scene.

The driver was treated for minor injuries, but declined futher hospital treatment.
