The man, in his 80s, was driving a silver Suzuki Wagon car when it was involved in a collision on the A28 at Godmersham, near Ashford.

It had crashed with a yellow Renault recovery lorry and a white Ford Transit van at about 3.35pm on Saturday, September 22.

The woman passenger, also in her 80s, died at Ashford's William Harvey Hospital that evening.

Now her husband also died in hospital on Sunday.

Kent Police officers are re-appealing for witnesses who saw the crash or who remember seeing any of the three vehicles involved.
