Michael West scored twice for the third play-off game in a row as Ebbsfleet celebrated their return to Blue Square Premier football at the first attempt on Sunday.

West kept up his remarkable scoring record as Liam Daish's Fleet side triumphed against Farnborough in the Blue Square Bet South play-off final.

West put the Fleet ahead after 27 minutes, made the second for Ricky Shakes (pictured) seven minutes after the break and then headed in the third himself with 17 minutes remaining from Tom Phipp's cross.

Farnborough produced a late rally when Daryl Mahon fired in from 30 yards, and then substitute ex-Fleet striker Paul Booth scored the second from inside the area to set up a nervy finale.

However, the Fleet made sure by adding a fourth in stoppage time when Greek youngster Giannoulis Fakinos' cross-shot was turned in at the far post by Calum Willock to begin the celebrations from players and a big Fleet contingent in a crowd of 3,365.
