Man dies in road smash at Swanley interchange

A 44-year-old man died in a collision on the Swanley interchange slip road of the coastbound A20 this morning.

Kent Police, who received a report of a collision at 3.15am, are appealing for witnesses.

They say a green E-class coupe Mercedes had been involved in a collision. The driver, a 44-year old local man from died from his injuries.

A passenger was taken to a London hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

Officers would like to speak to any witnesses who might have seen the vehicle shortly before the collision.

They would particularly like to speak to the driver of a black Audi who might have been stopped nearby around the same time and seen the car before the collision.

The road is currently closed and expected to remain closed until 10am.
