Around 40 firefighters have tackled a major blaze at a building in Sevenoaks.

Six fire engines, from as far afield as Thames-side and Larkfield, were at the two-storey derelict property in Wilderness Avenue.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus fought the fire on the first floor and roof of the property, using jets and a water shuttle from a hydrant.

A pump was also set up at a nearby swimming pool to ferry extra water to the scene.
