Gillingham's five-day trip to Yorkshire will be "no holiday camp," insists boss Martin Allen.

A visit to Bradford on Saturday is followed by a game in York on Tuesday and the squad will be staying north for the duration.

Allen said: "The chairman has been good to keep us up there for both games, which is fantastic. That is the best thing for preparation.

"It is a long journey and games now are massive. They are all important and we want to make sure the preparation is spot on.

"It’s not a holiday camp. We need to train and need to work and it helps people to get to know each other a bit better."

Gillingham will train at Leeds United’s Thorp Arch facility, near Wetherby and Allen added: "The best way to get to know each other is on the training pitch."
