A GP accused of sexually assaulting two women at a Medway medical centre has appeared at Maidstone Crown Court.

Dr Babatunde Oshinusi spoke only to be identified at the brief preliminary hearing.

He faces four charges of sexually assaulting the two patients at St Mary’s Medical Centre in Strood in 2007 and 2010.

The 43-year-old, who was suspended in 2010, will return to court on January 11 to enter pleas.

A provisional trial date of April 29 was set by Judge Philip Statman, who continued unconditional bail.
Keith Yardy, prosecuting, said the Crown would call 22 witnesses.

Oshinusi, of Tunbury Avenue, Walderslade, Chatham, has also worked for Medway’s out-of-hours service MedOCC, but has been unable to practice as an NHS GP since July 27 2010.
