Graham Ford is leaving his post as Kent's director of cricket for family reasons, the club have confirmed.

His departure has sparked a shake-up of the coaching structure at the St Lawrence ground, with former wicketkeeper Paul Farbrace returning as head coach.

South African Ford has been with Kent since 2004. Farbrace has stood down from his postion with Sri Lanka.

Simon Willis, the current professional cricket manager, will move into a new job of cricket operations and talent development manager.

Graham Johnson, chairman of cricket, said: "We are naturally sorry that Graham cannot continue with the club next season, but are delighted that Paul Farbrace has agreed to come back."
