ANDREW NUNN: escaped from jail
ANDREW NUNN: escaped from jail

POLICE say an escaped prisoner who was jailed for six years for wounding with intent may be in Kent.

Andrew Nunn, 36, broke out of Norwich Prison last week and police say they have reason to believe that Ramsgate or Sheeerness could be among his destinations.

He made his successful bid for freedom on Sunday, May 15, at about 8.20am, and police stress he should not be approached if spotted.

He is described as 5ft 8in tall, medium build, with short light brown hair with long sideburns.

A spokesman for Norfolk Constabulary said: "We are appealing to the public with knowledge of his current whereabouts to contact police directly.

"I would also add that anybody harbouring Mr Nunn would themselves be breaking the law and face the very real prospect of being prosecuted."

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact PC Steve Patchett at Norfolk Constabulary on 0845 456 4567 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
