Jobs fair returns to County Town

A jobs fair which attracted more than 1,000 people in one day is to be staged again.
Golding Homes, Maidstone council and Jobcentre Plus joined forces in April for the Get Maidstone Working event at the Gallagher Stadium.

There were 1,000 vacancies and the chance to meet employers.

The next will be held on Monday, September 16, between 10am and 3pm, at The Mall Maidstone and also includes careers advice.

Cllr Malcolm Greer, cabinet member for economic and commercial development at Maidstone council, said: “One of Maidstone council’s key priorities is to ensure that Maidstone has a growing economy, and key to that is supporting residents into employment.”
