THE Kent Messenger Group, publisher of Kent Jobs, has teamed up with a recruitment company that combines adverts on railway stations with online services.
The link means that all jobs advertised with the KMG on www.kentjobs.co.uk will now be featured free of charge on www.jobespresso.com.
jobespresso, founded by enterprising lawyer Stephen Dewar in Tunbridge Wells, provides access to hundreds of jobs in Kent, London and the South East, through its website and a unique system of placing adverts at commuter stations, colleges and leisure centres.
It has arranged for ads to be placed at Tunbridge Wells station and is about launch similar services at stations in Tonbridge and Lewes, East Sussex. Mr Dewar is hoping to extend the service to Ashford and Medway stations.
The service means that vacancies are seen by a captive audience in places not traditionally associated with job adverts.
KMG has been at the forefront of recruitment for more than a century. Independent research suggests that eight out of 10 recent job seekers are regular users of KMG media - newspapers, radio stations and online. Its specialist jobs website receives more than one and a half million page impressions every month.
Working together means that candidates now have access through jobespresso and KMG to a broad range of jobs in every sector, including accounts, finance, office, health, education, HR, IT, secretarial and administration.
“jobespresso is proud to work with the Kent Messenger Group and feature their jobs,” said Mr Dewar. “Our company is expanding rapidly and securing strategic partners in Kent and Medway means that we can continue to deliver local jobs to local people.”
Chris Parker, KMG head of digital sales, added: “The Kent Messenger Group is at the forefront of offering value added services to customers.
“We are always looking for innovations or new markets to provide our customers with the best possible service. Linking with jobespresso offers a valuable benefit to employers in Kent who advertise with us”.
