The number of people listening to Kent's radio station kmfm has increased by 15,000 over the last six months.

Official figures released by industry body Rajar show the kmfm breakfast show hosted by Rob Wills and Emma Saint, which launched in September, has added 10,000 listeners in its time slot.

These represent the highest audience figures for the station since 2011.

KM Group managing director Richard Elliot said: "We have made a number of big changes to kmfm recently, and we are absolutely delighted that they seem to have gone down so well with listeners.

"We are the only commercial radio broadcasting exclusively from Kent to Kent. We play Kent's biggest hits, backed up by unbeatable news provided by KM Group journalists across the county.

"We look forward to welcoming even more listeners in the future."
